At Bellows Glamping & Events we wanted to take the hassle out of camping.
Alex, having spent many years camping as a scout and scout leader, loves getting back to basics and staying in tents. Whereas Helen has been working in Hotels for many years and loves the little luxuries. Combining these experiences together we thought nothing would be more perfect than the Glamping experience.
We love creating and have put our skills to bear on designing the contents of the tents. From those little trinkets that add to an experience to the functional items, we have been hard at work making many of these items.
From our experiences camping we know what a hassle it can be remembering everything, let alone carrying it all and putting it up, so with us you don’t have to. We have done the thinking and heavy lifting for you. We pitch, set up and take down the tents for you. This means you get to enjoy more quality time on your break.
As a business we began in May 2016 and have since pitched over 2,500 tents and accommodated over 6,000 happy people, so we certainly know what we are doing! We began as a business partnership and in December 2019 the business transferred to become a limited company, still with ourselves (Alex and Helen) running the business.
You need to buy – a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, camp beds, towels, torches, a stove, gas bottles, utensils, plates, bowls, mugs, cups, cooking equipment, washing-up bowl, washing-up liquid, teatowels, chairs, tables, spare pegs… the list goes on!
After you have all the kit, you need to load this up (taking care not to forget anything) and transport it to the site. Then spend 1-2 hours putting everything up – there is normally an argument on how the tent goes up – and sorting out your camping area. Then at the end of your trip you have to spend another 1-2 hours taking everything down, packing up and transporting everything home.
When you get home the job isn’t done, you have to unpack the kit, clean everything, if the tent is wet find somewhere to dry it, replace any broken items and then store it all away.
Turn up, relax and enjoy yourself, go home
