Well it has been 10 days since our last blog, but it feels an eternity ago as we have been so busy!

Last week we had bookings and a wedding fayre to deal with at the same time, which took quite a bit of logistical planning, but it was all worth it 🙂

The booking was a two and half hour drive away at Pextenement Farm near Todmorden. The weather in the week had been stunning, but on the way up it was rather wet and a tad windy. Never wanting to disappoint we had a cup of tea and checked the forecast again – we were confident everything would be ok for the tent to go up. We got cracking and the tent was pitched and furnished in about half hour, even with the howling wind.

We headed back and carried on our prep for the wedding fayre, which involved, among other things, painting a fence!

The next day we were up bright and early and headed over to the Holiday Inn Derby/Nottingham for the Bridefayre event.

After a bit of a discussion over where to put the tent, we pitched (including tying a guy rope to a car wheel…) and waited for the attendees to arrive. So many people came and it was fantastic, the sun even shone for most of the day.

So many people loved the tent and were very intrigued to find out more, we had lots of enquiries which is definitely keeping us busy!Needs must!

After the wedding fayre it was back home, a quick unload and straight back out again for a five hour round trip. The weather had been kind all day, but when we got back to Pextenement Farm it was lashing down. A cup of tea and chat with Janice was most appreciated and then we got packing (twice the 1st time it didn’t fit) Wet and very tired, we arrived home at 23:45 and hit the hay soon after.

The next day we got a message from the bride that just blew us away. We love what we do and aim to please, but her kind words were more than we ever expected. We were so happy that they great time and hope to pitch for them again soon. You can read the comment here if you are interested.

That’s it for now folks until next time, onto our next adventure!
